Lenti is a town in Zala county, the seat of Lenti district. It lies on the Kerka River in the western part of the county, close to the Slovenian border.
The centre of Lenti is located on the main road 75, which provides good connections to the Lake Balaton region, Zalaegerszeg and Budapest, as well as to Slovenia. The town is also a road junction, from where secondary roads to the surrounding settlements start. The two most important of the latter are the 7538 road from the centre of Letenye and the 7416 road from here to the border crossing at Bajánsenye. From the latter, the 7426 road branches off north of the town centre. The town has a bus station and a railway station.
